TD SYNNEX Launches FinOps Fusion to Help Partners Manage AI Spending
New offering combines AI consumption visibility, cost optimization and governance with an opportunity for partners to build recurring managed services.

TD SYNNEX has introduced FinOps Fusion, a new offering designed to help technology partners manage their customers’ AI consumption costs across public cloud and on-premises environments. Announced October 8, the offering is part of the distributor’s Destination AI enablement framework and was unveiled to partners at its 2026 Inspire Conference in Greenville, South Carolina.
For MSPs and IT solution providers, the announcement centers on two related opportunities: helping customers understand where their AI spending is going and turning ongoing cost management into a recurring service. TD SYNNEX says FinOps Fusion brings together assessments, spending visibility, optimization recommendations and partner enablement to support that approach.
Bringing AI Spending Into Focus
As businesses expand their use of generative AI, TD SYNNEX says spending can become distributed across applications, models and infrastructure, making costs difficult to track and optimize. FinOps Fusion is intended to give partners a more consolidated view of that consumption so they can identify inefficiencies and establish governance practices.
The announcement places the launch against a broader increase in AI investment. Citing a Gartner forecast, TD SYNNEX’s press release states that worldwide AI spending is expected to reach $2.59 trillion in 2026, up 47% from the previous year. That figure describes overall AI spending, rather than AI token consumption alone.
“Across the market, we're seeing organizations invest heavily in AI without a clear understanding of how token usage translates into actual costs,” said Francisco Criado, senior vice president of Cloud, Security and AI for TD SYNNEX North America.
Criado compared the emerging challenge with the cloud consumption management issues businesses have already encountered. The company’s positioning goes beyond reporting costs: it wants partners to deliver measurable optimization and ongoing management.
What FinOps Fusion Includes
According to TD SYNNEX, the offering includes five components:
- AI Token Consumption Assessment: Establishes a baseline of customer usage to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers and opportunities for optimization.
- Unified Visibility Dashboard: Consolidates AI token spending across public cloud and on-premises environments to support budgeting decisions.
- AI Spend Optimization Recommendations: Provides guidance intended to improve how customers allocate resources for AI investments.
- Expert-led FinOps Enablement: Gives partners access to training, best practices and operational frameworks for building repeatable AI cost management services.
- Managed FinOps Service: Supports ongoing monitoring, optimization and governance that partners can offer as a recurring service.
Why It Matters for MSPs
The MSP angle is the connection between visibility and ongoing service delivery. Rather than positioning AI cost management as a one-time assessment, TD SYNNEX is presenting it as a repeatable offering that partners can use to strengthen their advisory role and generate recurring revenue.
“FinOps Fusion isn't just a dashboard or tool, it's how our partners become indispensable to their customers' AI strategy,” Criado said. “We absorb the complexity so they can sell the outcome: visibility across the entire environment, optimization they can prove, and a managed service they can run as recurring revenue.”
TD SYNNEX reports that the majority of customers have achieved savings of 15–30% over the mid-to-long term, depending on the maturity of their FinOps adoption and the services and tools deployed. The release does not specify the measurement period, customer sample or whether those results came specifically from FinOps Fusion. The figure should therefore be read as a company-reported FinOps outcome, not a guaranteed result for the newly announced offering.
Details Still to Come
The announcement outlines the service components but does not provide pricing, supported platform and model details, or specific partner participation requirements. The supplied release also contains a placeholder rather than a completed product landing-page address. Those details remain important for partners evaluating how the offering would fit into their existing service portfolio.
